the night started at 9:22 pm. you picked me up and quite rebelliously drove through the field near my home. you showed me where in a years time you'd like to move, looks cozy. with no destination we picked up your friend. hello tony, my name's melissa. and than we just drove. without realizing where or how far away from home we were, we ended up in fort saskatchewan. i remember as you drifted down every corner, that feeling, that rush... it felt amazing. we stopped. unplanned destination reached. i walked out of the car, it was pitch black. i looked up and although it was freezing i didn't feel it. the view, the lake, the darkness, it was all just beautiful. right than i decided that this is how i'm gonna start living my life. so carefree and fearless. this moment was what i've been needing for so long.
we dropped off your friend. goodbye tony, it was nice meeting you. on the ride home the conversation was so open, so real. i felt as if i could have kept talking, kept listening. as you pulled up to my house i thanked you, told you how this is what i needed, told you how i've missed you. you hugged me and i swear i haven't felt a hug so comforting in a while. i got out of your car knowing that i was lucky to have a friend like you. the night ended at 2:46 am.
